Is Property
zoning important and why?
Property Zoning is very
important. In Costa Rica exist regulation and urban planning in different zones.
This means that in order to realize a project there requirements to comply and
in some cases you are not allowed to build due to topographical or other risks.
For this reason is very important
to hire professional real estate service for advise and consulting.

Do we need a solicitor to deal with the title transfer?
In Costa Rica it is very
necessary to be advised by an attorney in any transaction, and mostly in real
estate matters. Also for any transfer of property it is mandatory to be made by
a Public Notary so it can be legally registered in the Public Registry (Registro
Público de la Propiedad Inmueble).
This registration will make you
the legal owner of any property you purchased.
